Mohamed Abdullah Nasrat is a recognized specialist in economic statistics and quantitative analysis, currently serving as the Deputy Director for Statistics within the Research & Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Libya.

In his role, Mr. Nasrat plays a key part in developing, managing, and improving statistical databases related to Libya’s monetary, financial, and macroeconomic environment. His work supports enhanced data governance, improved analytical methodologies, and strengthened institutional capacity in statistical reporting.

He contributes to the preparation of periodic economic publications and analytical reports including:

• Monetary and financial indicators

• Economic performance and trends

• Trade and sectoral statistics

His efforts support evidence-based decision-making within the Central Bank and contribute to improving transparency, consistency, and reliability of Libya’s official economic data.

With a strong analytical background and experience in applied statistics, Mr. Nasrat continues to play an important role in enhancing the Bank’s research capabilities and supporting the modernization of statistical frameworks aligned with international best practices in central banking and financial sector reporting.
